Besides this blog I also have an early childhood education blog where I post various activities and crafts I do with my girls. Before I became a stay-at-home mom I was an early childhood teacher for many years. I love to share the activities I used to do in the classroom with my own children now.

Here's the link if interested. www.imprintsfromtricia.com

Today we did a fun activity with all materials bought at the dollar store. I love the dollar store almost as much as I love Target! The girls had a blast using the tweezers to sort the cotton balls. (excellent fine motor skill use)

Seriously this entire activity (that they can play with over and over again) cost $6!

At 4 months old, Andrew is finally getting a nursery! We are saying goodbye to pink and ladybugs from Jillian's old room and transforming it to guitar's and monkeys.

Here is our beloved Papa helping to paint his grandson's room.

She is truly a great big sister! I know it's what I'm supposed to say but honestly this little girl is a sweetheart when it comes to her younger siblings. She loves to help "take care" of him. She watches everything I do and mimics me when interacting with him. She gives him his paci when he's crying and turns on his favorite toy that plays lullaby music. Then she tells me "Mommy I put Andrew to sleep."

Her new favorite thing is to ask if he can sit with her on the couch when she is watching TV.

His face really does light up when he sees her.  I look forward to watching their relationship grow, I know it just keeps getting better!

She woke up last night complaining that her ear hurt. I immediately knew...ear infection. I gave her some motrin and she fell asleep and then early this morning she said her ear still hurt. We scheduled a doctor appointment and sure enough- ear infection. We all have coughs, colds, and now I have two kids on antibiotics for ear infections. Gotta love January!

I had a play date scheduled so daddy took her to the doctor. She came back proudly showing me her Dora stickers from the doctor and loudly proclaiming "Mommy, the doctor didn't give me a shot!". (We never told her they were going to give her a shot but it's funny what they always seem to remember from past visits.)

Tony said she did great, followed all the directions the doctor gave her. So different from her sister at that age, who was always a little more sensitive with visits and new experiences.

If this is the worst of our January, I'll gladly take it!

Big day in our household!!  My two girls moved in together now sharing a room!

Mallory got a new big big girl bed (as opposed to her former "big" girl bed). Jillian is now taking residency in Mallory's former toddler bed and Andrew now has graduated to crib status. No more bassinet and hopefully that means much better sleep for him and mommy and daddy!

I heard lots of chatter at bedtime from the girls room and couldn't help but to eavesdrop...

Jillian- "Well, mommy and daddy aren't going to check on us."

Mallory- "They will check on us in a little while, just go to sleep."

Jillian- "Well today is not Saturday."

Mallory- "Today is Wednesday Jillian."

Oh the conversations of a 4 year old and a 2 year old!!

Well here we are day 1. I sort of feel like this is my first day of school. :) Nervous, excited, scared....a gamut of emotions.

While I'm excited about my 365 what I am most thrilled about is connecting with other photogs and building a sense of community with like minded camera happy friends!!

Here's my little guy Andrew. He's only been with us for 4 months and make no mistake about it he completes our family in every sense of the word. I remember after I had my second little girl, Jillian after awhile we started getting the questions about wether or not we were going to have another baby. I always said I didn't know, we didn't know. I never was ready to close that chapter. I never felt completely done.

Fast forward two years later and it's such a great feeling to say "We are done!" Even though we jokingly say if Andrew was our first he would be our last and even though the last 4 months have been difficult to say the least, we also know we are beyond blessed and thankful everyday for our three children.
